It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
I am the hostess this week and I have a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of you! "Feeling Fresh and Fruity" is the theme of the week. Summer is the most fabulous time of the year to find fresh fruits in the market. There are so many colorful and delicious choices and we can't wait to see what you create. Just remember to keep your card CAS.
Minimal layers and embellishments
Plenty of open space
Simple and uncluttered
I am a huge fruit lover and I really can't pick a favorite, but I will admit I do love tasty watermelon. Do you have a favorite fruit? I started with a panel of watermelon rind DSP and a strip of seed DSP from Stampin Up's Fruit Salad paper pack. The little girl is from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence collection -Sweet Summer. I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced a pair of polka dot shorts. The row watermelon slices is from The Stamps of Life Watermelon2 stamp set. I colored the pieces of watermelon and fussy cut the border. The sentiment is from the same set.

Claire, I adore every one of those darling MFT PI kids! You've chosen a favorite from the collection - and also one of my favorite summertime treats!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to play! But just to double check - just fruit? Not the veggies in that cute lineup?

Oh! I just love your sweet watermelon girl! I'm a fan of a good watermelon also!
ReplyDeleteYou and I share a love of those MFT PI and BB girls. This one is so cute with her big slice of watermelon and you've decorated the card to celebrate that. So many cute elements and a wonderful design, Claire! I don't have many fruit images (as you'll see with my card this week) but your challenge has prompted me to remedy that!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love this card! The watermelon theme is perfect for your challenge and this little cutie is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteWatermelon is one of my absolute favourites and this looks truly good enough to eat! Thanks for a fun theme this week. :-)
ReplyDeleteClaire... I so love Pure Innocence and the matching DSP is an amazing find!
ReplyDeleteThis card is adorable, Claire! The paper is perfect with this sweet image. You just gotta love this little girl! While strawberries are my favorite fruit, watermelon is a close second. Thank you for the fun challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous celebration of all things watermelon! I love those sweet girl stamps and this one is no exception. A fab CAS card Claire!
